5 Ways to Be a Frontline Volunteer

We’re so thankful for all the newcomers at Grace.  Thanks to each one of you who invites friends and family members!
One magazine article noted this:  “Dynamic, growing churches usually have front line volunteers (greeters, parking team, children’s program workers) who are not only well informed about their own task, but understand and can articulate the uniqueness of their congregation in a concise and effective manner.”

Here are 5 ways you can do that:

#1:  Welcome people you see in the halls
Whether it be on the shuttle, in the parking lot, in your row of seats, in the Café. You don't have to be an official greeter or usher to give a warm welcome to everyone. It helps us wear our church name well!

#2:  If you see someone sitting alone, ask if they’d like some company!
“Is this seat free?  Can I join you?…” Also, "How long have you been attending Grace?" is a better way to ask "Is this your first time?"

#3:  Know how to direct someone to landmarks.
Can you show some one where the Welcome Center, the Café, the TOT Garden, and the restrooms are?  Better yet, walk them to the right place…just like they do at Home Depot!

#4:  Read the entire bulletin.
If you read more than the sections that pertain specifically to you, you'll know what’s going on and be able to assist someone with their specific interests.

#5:  Take a look at the Welcome Center.
You'll know what kind of literature we have available so you can help people who have a question.

Pray with me that God would continue touch many hearts through the ministry of our church family!

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Luke 15:7

Let’s welcome those who are new to our church family, asking the Lord to make this a place of great impact!

P.S.  If you’re one of those whose life has been impacted by Christ, why not declare your faith in Him through baptism? Our next baptism service is Sunday, September 24th.  Learn more
