Sunday 9:00am

What the world offers can be trying.  “Though we live in the world we do not wage war as the world does.” “Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes you will be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

Do you put on God’s armor to take you through the daily battle?  Truth, peace, righteousness, salvation, faith along with the Word of God—these are the arsenal. Often we do not look at these vital elements as weapons.  “The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world.”

You grab an umbrella when it is raining.  Put on boots for the snow.  Dress for work, dress for play, prepare yourself for the day. BUT, do you use the resources the LORD has given for daily living?  We are focusing on Ephesians 6 and the resources available to us to use, the arsenal.  This application Bible study is open to men and women. Bring your Bible.

Hebrews: The Supremacy of Christ Phil Karayan

Have you asked yourself these questions: How are the Old and New Testaments related? What is the meaning behind the Temple? Who is Melchizedek? Are good works needed for salvation? Can salvation be lost? The book of Hebrews was written primarily to a Jewish audience, addressing three groups: believers, believers struggling with the law, and seekers examining the claims of Jesus. Hebrews instructs believers how to have a victorious life in Christ in relation to the (Mosaic) Old Covenant. Like an art gallery, the Old Testament is filled with pictures pointing to the Messiah, showing his identity, nature and covenant. Notebook - $5.

The Gospel of Mark Lee Arnold

The gospel of Mark is the shortest of the four gospels, is considered by some to be the oldest of the four, and is the only one to actually refer to itself as a “gospel”.  So what is the “good news” that Mark desires to share, to whom was he sharing it to, and what is the reason for him sharing it? Mark’s gospel presents Jesus Christ as both the son of God and the Son of Man. In this gospel Mark shares how Jesus astonishes many with his teachings and his miracles, and yet is depicted as a “suffering servant”. What is the significance of each of the descriptions of Jesus, and how does this message of Mark, written almost 2000 years ago, have meaning for us today?

Through recovery, you can become the unique human being that God designed you to be and live a Christ-honoring lifestyle that you tried to satisfy with your addictions and compulsions. This meeting begins with everyone together in a large group for prayer, readings, worship, devotion and a lesson, testimony or topic discussion. Feeling like you’ve blown it? Reached the point of no return? That your life hasn’t gone as planned? If so, you are not alone. We all know what it feels like to have life disappoint us and not work out as we’d hoped.  Samson had blown it repeatedly; nevertheless, he experienced tremendous triumph at the end of his life.  Joseph, Moses and Peter all experienced comebacks. Jesus himself performed the greatest comeback of all by rising from the dead.

God is in the business of giving hope to the hopeless; direction to the directionless.  God can use our mess and still make a masterpiece—and that our current circumstances will not get the final say in our lives.  We will turn to the Bible to overcome the Goliaths in our lives as we trust Jesus and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit.  Join Pastor Scott as we win the battle against the giants in our lives.
