Sunday 9:00am

Colossians (starts Sept 8) Roger Lau

Who is Jesus and how is He related to the divine and the human? Understanding that correctly, and proclaiming it accurately, was the bedrock of early Christian theology. The letter contains advice on practical Christian living, proper Christian relationships, along with a chunk of important theology.  In Colossians, that theology expounds on who Christ is in relation to the divine, to the creation, and to the church, and what has transpired as a result of that. A warped misunderstanding of that mystery plagued the church at Colosse and took a few centuries to bring to clarity. Come discover that what happened at Colosse is as relevant today as ever, and feel the joy in understanding the “mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Sunday 10:30am

Twenty-five hundred years ago in the Babylonian and Persian kingdoms, God revealed to Daniel, a Jewish captive, His plan for the ages. Through Daniel, God revealed how the succession of kingdoms would lead to the First and Second Coming of Christ. Using Daniel and his friends, as examples, God demonstrates the secrets to a successful life in the face of trial.

Daniel is important both in applying the truth (practical) and understanding God’s plan for the future (prophetical).  Daniel foretells the exact time Jesus would be cut off from His people 500 years before His birth (70 Weeks of Daniel).  Without understanding Daniel, it’s difficult to understand the Book of Revelation and God’s plan in the end times.  Daniel unveils the vital role Israel, Jerusalem, and the Jewish people play in the end times ultimately leading to the return of Christ.  Notebook fee - $5.

Holy Sexuality & The Gospel (starts Sept 11) Dennis Chesley & Karen Genco

How do we apply the essence of the gospel to a gay loved one? In what ways can we better walk with truth and grace alongside a fellow Christian with same-sex attractions? Holy Sexuality and the Gospel offers theological and practical insights that lead us to find our identity in Christ—not in our sexuality. Dr. Christopher Yuan, who spoke at Grace in June, explores the concept of holy sexuality—chastity in singleness or faithfulness in marriage—in a practical and relevant manner, equipping readers with an accessible yet robust theology of sexuality. Russian/Ukrainian Study (starts Sept 11) Arthur Bykov

In our group, we will review different scriptures in the Bible and provide answers to questions that you may have. Our purpose is to exalt Jesus Christ by making disciples, who love Jesus, grow with others, and serve the world. In order to correctly understand and implement, we need to study God's Word; which we will do in this group. For more information please contact Vlad at vlopushynskyy@gmail.com or by cell at 440-915-4536.

Women’s Bible Study (starts at 9:30am; on-going) Marsha Durken Hallin

On Saturday mornings women join together in prayer and study of God’s word. It is a blessed time of fellowship as we share our Christian journeys with each other. As we study, pray, and share, we grow in faith and trust in God. It is hard to put into words how important community is in God’s plan for us. Just as the early church met in worship, prayer and fellowship, so do we.

We will be starting a study in September, Momentum, by Colin S. Smith where he takes us through the Beatitudes, one at a time, and explains the momentum that builds through the order in which Jesus taught them.  This information can be helpful in our lives to understand the Beatitudes and to benefit from the teachings of Jesus.  Workbook - $10.
